At Greyrock we’re passionate about concrete. To us, concrete has it all: it’s environmentally friendly and natural; it’s aesthetically beautiful; it’s versatile in design, color, and finish; and it lasts a lifetime.

We think that decorative concrete design is the most exciting thing to happen in home remodeling. Check out our concrete gallery and you’ll see why.

About Greyrock

From Steve & Greg:

We are driven by concrete. The potential that we see in the material is what lights us up and enables us to thoroughly enjoy the work that we do. Come visit our workshop and you’ll see the beautiful, innovative designs we’re dreaming up.

Steve’s background is in construction management and he originally came to concrete because of a DIY project… a DIY project that turned into an enduring passion for the material.

Greg has a background in carpentry and renovation and was so taken with concrete that when he began working in concrete he’d ask businesses if they would accept a custom creation… free of charge—just because he wanted the experience!

Unlike other companies whose aim is to produce as much ‘throughput” as possible, Greg and Steve are dedicated to the artistry involved in the business. Concrete is so flexible, so versatile! It can be used in so many different ways. The aim is to push the material to the very limit of its potential; to make things that others might think impossible—without sacrificing durability or quality.

Design Experience

Steve and Greg have a combined 5 years of decorative concrete design and casting experience.

Both men have ample experience with decorative and architectural concrete design. Architectural concrete design means knowing concrete inside and out – it’s tensile and compressive strength, its capacity to bear loads, and the optimal reinforcements for the concrete’s use. All of these provide insight in decorative concrete as well and ensure that your decorative piece is structurally sound.

The Epitome Of ‘Local’

When you hire Greyrock for a concrete project, you can be sure that everything about the finished product will be local. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, they believe in supporting the local economy and using local materials. They use concrete from local sources. 100% locally owned and operated, they plan to be fixtures in the community for a long, long time.

Steve and Greg execute the vast majority of their design projects for customers living within 100 miles of the workshop.

The other thing about using a local firm is how much personal attention you’ll receive. When you call Greyrock, one of the owners will likely answer the phone themselves. And invite you to come on over!

To design concrete that’s a custom fit for their clients, they work closely with individuals and couples to ensure that they receive just what was in their minds – and very likely what was hidden in their hearts!

Steve and Greg work all the concrete themselves—no inexperienced understudies building your kitchen countertop.

You’ll see what a pleasure it is to work with a small, locally-run craftsman studio.

Highest Quality Work

Unlike other materials, concrete has a wide range of qualities. Amateurs and impersonal ‘job’ shops often make concrete pieces that look crude or unfinished. Or, after withstanding regular stress for one year, they begin to fall apart, crack, or crumble.

In concrete, craftsmanship matters!

Fortunately, when you hire Greyrock for a concrete job, you can be confident knowing this is a ‘rock solid’ studio with a relentless focus on high quality.

One-Year Warranty

To ensure that the design and construction and labor of creating a one of a kind concrete piece is top notch, Greyrock holds themselves accountable. They provide a one-year warranty agreement.

If anything happens to your concrete within the first year, the owners will make it right, no matter the cost to them personally.

They also follow up after 90 days, to make sure that the concrete has cured and set properly. In addition, they provide you with a ‘care and handling’ document that should answer any question about upkeep of the piece’s luster.

And they are always a phone call away. You can count on it.
